Clovis Branch Family History Center

 

The Clovis Branch Family History Center is dedicated to PREPARING, PUBLISHING & PRESERVING records of genealogical value.

We help patrons to identify their ancestors by using our local resources as well as by accessing resources of other libraries. We work closely with the Curry County Genealogical Society and share projects.

We have on-site over 12,000 titles of genealogical works and we can order over 2 million rolls of microfilm via inter-library loan from Salt Lake City, which include vital, census, church, land, probate and other records from around the world.

New Mexico state and territorial census records from 1850 thru 1920 (all counties)

Obituary Index of the Clovis News Journal 1912-2003

Obituaries of the Clovis News Journal 1990-1999

Index of NM death certificates

NM DAR lineage book

Approximately 1,000 personal patron visits are made each year to the FHC.   Location: Manana at Lore Streets, Clovis, NM (mailing address: 112 W. Yucca, Clovis, NM 88101) FHC hours are: Tuesday and  Thursday: 1-4 pm; Wed. 7-9 pm. We have no paid staff, all look-ups for eastern New Mexico will be done on a first-come-first-served basis as time permits. Cost of copies varies.
