Desert Gold Chapter DAR sponsors the Young Patriots Society, Children of the American Revolution (C.A.R.), which is open to youth under the age of 21 years who are lineally descended from someone who rendered material aid to the cause of American independence, whether a soldier, sailor, civil officer, or recognized patriot. Membership is renewed annually, with an option of paying for a lifetime membership (good until the member ages out) at any time. At age 18, young women are eligible to also join the DAR and hold dual membership for their final three years in C.A.R.

We encourage you to enroll your children in C.A.R. today to enjoy a more rewarding tomorrow and they have fun. If you have a child who is interested in joining our local C.A.R. please contact C.A.R.

The 2013-2014 National Theme is "Pursuit of Happiness." The National Project is SVA, Student Veterans of America, a non-profit organization that provides educational scholarships and support to those veterans who are reentering the mainstream college life.

Web hyperlinks to non-DAR sites are not the responsibility of the NSDAR, the state organizations, or individual DAR chapters.
