Pvt. Sylvanus Brimhall
b. 15 March 1758 Abington, Plymouth, Massachusetts. He married Tryphena Johnson. His service during the Revolutionary War are listed:
-From December 1775 with Captain Thomas Mayhew's Co. at Plymouth Massachusetts which then joined the Regiment under the command of Colonel Bond. Served in Cambridge, Winter Hill, Norwich, New
London, New York, Albany, Fort Ticonderoga, Fort George, Fort Ann Montreal, and Mount Independence.
-From May 1777 with Captain James Pratt's Co. at Weymouth.
-From April 1778 with Captain Oliver Packard at Weymouth. Served in Providence, Newport, and Tiverton with General Sullivan's expedition.
-From May 1779 with Captain John F. Williams' Company. Served in Boston and surrounding harbors From June 1780 was Adjutant Trotter's Co. at Barre with Col. Rufus Putnam's Regiment. Served in
Barre, and Springfield, Massachusetts; WestPoint and White Plains, NY. Sylvanus died in Hardwick, Massachusetts on 18 Sep 1839.
