Kneeling Nun Monolith- People think that this rock that sticks up looks like a nun kneeling at an
altar and praying for the sins of the world.
City of Rocks-rises up out of the surrounding plains as if it's the earth's crown. It's a real kick to walk around inside the
rock-formed hallways and tunnels.

Gila Cliff Dwellings-offers a glimpse of the homes and lives of the people of the
Mogollon culture who lived in the Gila Wilderness from the 1280s through the early 1300s.

Our Chapter Charter (No. 610) was granted in 1903 and received in Silver City in 1904. The name Jacob Bennett was chosen because six of the charter
members were descendants of this Revolutionary War patriot and another member was related by marriage. We are located in Silver City but embrace the
whole of Grant County and some of the adjacent counties. Our membership draws from the mining communities, ranches, and farms, and includes members from
Hidalgo and Sierra counties. Luncheon meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month from September to June, usually in private homes. We cordially invite
you to contact us for membership information.
