WHAT IS A DAR PAGE?
[L-R] Dona Ana Past Chapter Regent Georgie McDougle,
NSDAR Honorary President General Linda Tinker Watkins
and her personal page, Junior Stephanie Diaz of Dona Anna Chapter.
Tucumcari Chapter Juniors [ L-R ] Jacqueline Sanchez and Jennifer Faust
Pages are members 40 years of age and younger who serve as hostesses, personal assistants, and flag-bearers at national and state events. Serving as a page is a great way to learn the inner workings of DAR. The New Mexico Society holds its state conferences on weekends to accommodate the diverse needs of pages. Serving as a page is an excellent way to meet other Juniors and members of the organization. Pages have developed lifelong friendships with treasured memories. They have FUN serving the Society!

Outstanding Conference Page
Every year at the State Conference, one page is chosen to receive the honor of Outstanding Conference Page. This is an award presented by the State Regent. Generally, there are three anonymous judges chosen from the attendees at the conference. Throughout the conference the judges are on the lookout for the page who stands out among all others. Some of the qualities they look for include helpfulness, knowledge, and willingness to assist. For many years, the award has gone to ladies who were paging for the very first time—their enthusiasm and cooperative spirit winning the day!
