- DO YOU HAVE A PATRIOT ANCESTOR? Please contact us for any assistance on your research.
- Our Chapter was organized 6 March 1949. The Organizing Regent was Mrs. Harold Kersey. The name Mary Griggs was chosen for our chapter because she was the wife of Mrs. Kersey's
Revolutionary War ancestor, Ichabod Griggs.
- We meet at a member's home, at 2 p.m., the third Tuesday of each month September through May. We invite you to e-mail our Regent, Bobbie Moore
for membership information. We would love to hear from you.
WHAT WE DO
1. DAR has always been proud of the men and women who serve in America's military, and engages in a variety of service projects for active duty servicemen, women,
and veterans.
2. DAR supports six schools in its mission to promote education, and we encourage school children to learn more about American History through essay awards and
Good Citizen contests.
3. Members are encouraged to locate, transcribe, and submit original source records of a genealogical nature to the NSDAR collection. This fine collection is
housed in Washington, DC, and easily accessed.
Prospective members are welcome and assistance is available in filling out membership applications.

Web hyperlinks to non-DAR sites are not the responsibility of
the NSDAR, the state organizations, or individual DAR chapters.
