When I search the 1871-1930 database I found out that something was wrong. There was some persons missing and I could not understand why. So I went and looked at the documentation. And sure enough there it was. Both the 1867.1930 database and the 1871-1930 database derives from the same protocols. But in 2002 they started the registration of the database anew since they was not satisfied with the first one. But in 1871-1930 the entries for 1904 almost all was missing. So when searching for emigrants from Oslo/Kristiania be sure to look in both data bases.
The field "Reisestatus" in den new database is a coded field that tells you if the person left Norway or not: "o" means struck over, "u" means dismissed and "i" means that the person didn't leave.
