WIFE OF WILLIAM FORRESTER ARMSTRONG. My great-great-grandfather's second
wife was Clarissa A. (White) Conklin. Clarissa's first husband was Elihu
White and their marriage date was Jan 1, 1839. Clarissa was born in 1821
(exact date unknown to me) in Liberty County, Ohio. Clarissa and William
were married on Dec 7th, 1847 and both had been married previously.
Clarissa died March 15, 1856 and is buried in Cardington, Ohio. Clarissa
had three sons by William. They are Philander, Philemon and Matthew.
Clarissa's parents were Jacob Conklin and Orra Payne. Clarissa had six
siblings, Lyman B., Ezra M., William A., Philemon J., Abram V., and
Edwin N. I believe Clarissa was the eldest child, but I cannot confirm
that. I also know that Orra Payne, Clarissa's mother, had a father named
Jacob. Orra died on Oct 20, 1880.

pleased to share what information I have. I have some information about
Edwin N. Conklin.
