Great Heavens, I can't imagine anyone taking offense. Whatever
the reason for the failure of the glass-making enterprise in
Salem, it was clearly not the Conklings' fault, as anyone
reading the history would know. If we can't share our offhand
thoughts about our family here, then where, for Heaven's sake?
Well, I apologize to the Shades of the Founders for any
offense taken. None intended.
