Anthony Maloney died in Rochester about 1857 and Ellen Maloney had a
grocery on State St. until about 1865. I have traced the Maloneys in
Rochester through the Federal and State census and the Rochester city
directory. The city directory of 1894 notes that Ellen Maloney and her son
Edward "removed from the city." At that time she would have been about 71
and Edward would have been about 47. Edward was a railroad telegrapher in
Rochester and I suspect that they may have moved to someplace along the
railroad (which railroad?).
I realize that this a long shot but I would love to hear from anyone who
may have information about this lovely woman.
