Our bible records are vague, stating only that the name of his wife
could be Manza and that his father was "Did" Smith and mother perhaps
Mim, an Indian.
Children by unknown first wife: Penelope(Nelly) b.18 July 1824 d.26 Dec.
1873 m. Henry B. Low (My line) and Uriah b ca 1828
Children by Sarah, b Sullivan ca 1810; Almeda b. ca 1841 and Sampson b.
ca 1847
Children by Filinda b Conn ca 1822; Hester b ca 1851(Who is listed in
the 1860 census but not in the 1855 when Moses was m to Sarah) This was
a second marriage for Filinda.
Ulster County Genealogy has identified two Moses Smith families, neither
appear to be the correct one. Would appreciate any information regarding
this family and also the address of the Dutchess County Genealogical
