My gr-grandmother, Eliese Hess, was a midwife in New York City, Late 1800's
to sometime early 1900's. She died in 1914. She was born in Bavaria and
came to the states as a young woman, met and married Theodore Hess, born in
Baden baden. Does anyone know what, if any records there would be in NY
concerning her and if, perhaps there would be some record pertaining to her
being a midwife? Thanks in Advance - I am new to this.
