I am attempting to find information on the Smith brothers, Albert E. and
Henry David. They were located in NYC around 1885-1910.
Henry David, born 1867 in England, married Emma Wilgers born 1866 in New Jersey,
In 1890 he was a butler. Had six children. Moved to Calif. 1910-1920.
Albert E., born in England in 1881, married wife unknown, one child known
a daughter, Ethel. Was a vaudeville performer who got into the fledgling
motion picture business, one of the founders of Vitagraph Studios (Flatbush,NY
and (later) Hollywood).
There were several more members of this family (3 generations) emigrating at
the same time but quite a few went on to Calif. (Santa Barbara area).
Smith is a DIFFICULT line to cope with and especially this line as there is no
known descendents except my wife.
