Folks on my mother's side go back to at least 1860 in this small town
which I believe was settled predominantly by Germans. I am trying to
find out more about its early history, in particular, if the Germans who
settled there came from one major region of Germany. I'd also like to
hear from anyone who is familiar at all with this place's history.
