The Town of Fairfield, NY, is celebrating its Bicentennial of Incorporation
this year. As part of the celebration, I am writing a book on Fairfield's
history. Fairfield Academy (1802-1854), Fairfield Seminary (1854-1891),
Fairfield Seminary and Military Academy (1891-1901), and The College of
Physicians and Surgeons of the Western District of New York (1812-1841)
played a role in the development of New York and influenced the history of
medicine in the U.S. There are many families who have ancestors who attended
one of these schools. Does anyone know of any scrapbooks, diairies, or
pictures of Fairfield and its schools? I would appreciate hearing from
anyone who may have family connections or knowledge of the above. Thank you.
