I am looking for information on or descendents of William LAMB, Jr.,
born about 1769 probably in Cherry Valley. Before the Revolution he lived at
Harpersfield, then at Schoharie during the Revolution until 1780. He was
captured with his father in 1780, and he was taken to Canada as a prisoner.
He had many adventures and ended up with a Mohawk Indian family. Are there
any family traditions of this? He returned in 1791. William LAMB, Jr., and
his wife Martha (THORP) are buried in a little cemetery on Webb Road in
Springport, Cayuga County. He died October 19, 1854; would there be an
obituary in the Auburn newspaper? She died Nov. 8, 1840.
His daughter Electa, born about 1811, married William MYERS, and they
went to Argentine, Genesee County, Michigan, before 1855. A son, Edwin A.
LAMB, also went to Michigan before 1855.
Any help with this Lamb family will be appreciated.
