Your comments are well-taken. Feel free to forward this to
the list when you think it appropriate:
I have at my desk the index to the 1850 US census in NY. It
lists heads of household, county, page and township.
I also have the 1991 directory for county and municipal
historians for NYS. I have provided the names and addresses
as listed to many other researchers with the proviso that
they let me know if names/addresses have changed. That same
book also lists the addresses and phone numbers for regional
historical associations and county record offices. There
are some genealogists listed in there as advertisements,
too.
I would be happy to look things up for people as long as
they understand that I work two jobs, try to be a reasonably
good mother and wife, volunteer at the local FHC, am
president of my community pool and am in the process of
helping my daughter prepare for the step dancing world
championships in Ireland in April. Other than that, I have
all the time in the world...
