I have seen several posts stating that questions that they have posted
on this list have received responses via private e-mail versus
responses posted to this list. I also have received prompt responses
to my questions via private e-mail. This is probably more appropriate
since specific information I am requesting will be of little value to
anyone else. I believe this list is doing an excellent job of
providing a forum for people interested in NY genealogy. It may appear
to be one-sided but from what I'm reading and experiencing it most
definitely is a two-sided group effort.
