Is there anyone in Oswego who might be able to determine where to look for a
birth record for a
missing ancestor who has "from" on her marriage record listed
as Fulton,Oswego Co. NY....I'm not sure what that "FROM" means,
born there? or simply 'had been living there? In any case,
Carrie LUMBAR was born Dec. 8, 1836,as stated on her death cert.
it lists her birthplace city or town as Oswego, NY. The problem
I've run into in NYS is that records that far back are usually
not available. Should one then just try to find church records from
that era?

Can anyone help be get off dead center with my Carrie?
