GEN-NYS-L: Ont. Co. research explanation

Hi, I have had many requests to send files via the net. Unfortunately I am
having trouble doing that. For some reason I am limited to about 50 lines or
so in most messages and the same limitation seems to apply to attached files.
I don't really need any help with this problem as I am signing up with a new
Inet provider in this area. As soon as I get that working I will be dumping
both AOL and Compuserve.

If anyone has suggestions for easy to use software to use on my windows 3.1
system or for dos 6, I would appreciate it as my new provider does not
furnish software like AOL does. Maybe that is a blessing. Until I get that up
and running I am stuck with snail mail.

Also, several people have asked if they can put my data on line. The answer
is yes of course. Any data received from me can be considered public domain.
For that matter I do not get upset if anyone wishes to include quotes from
email that I have directed to them personnally. There are no secrets in my
life. I am sure that we all have horse thieves in our background.

Lastly, I have difficulty keeping secrets, so I ask any and all not to send
anything to me that you don't want the world to know.

I apologize for not responding individually to these questions. I am
naturally lazy.

Thank you for being into family history,

Burr Cook
