Rudolph Myer and his wife, Elizabeth (nee Custa), immigrated to America from
Germany just after 1900. They had a daughter, Frieda, born in Germany in
1893, and may have had other children. They settled in Dutchess County, NY,
in or near Poughkeepsie and Frieda married my father, Franklin Wiethan about
1911. Frieda died when I was very young and I have little information about
her or her family. If any of these names are familiar, I hope you will let
me know.
