Is it better to send for a death certificate from the county rather than
the state vital records office? I understand there is an enormous delay
when sending to the state. Also, if sending to the county, the county
seat courthouse would hold death records for the entire county - or -
would the town where the death occurred provide a quicker response?
The death dates I'm interested in are 1941, 1928 and 1937 in Clinton Co.
Sorry for such a general question, but I needed a clarification.
Thanks,
Mary swans060@gold.tc.umn.edu
