I have a question for anyone who is familiar with the area of the
Machackemeck RDC in Deerpark--WHAT COUNTY???-- and it is:
Q: If someone got married in 1735 and they had been from Kingston and
their marriage records were not at the Old Dutch Church In Kingston, Ulster
Co, NY, and their first two childrens baptisms are at the Machackemeck RDC,
where in the world would they have gotten married at? What churches are in
between????
I have found a definite marriage date of Johannes Kortrecht and Margaret
Dennemerken as Jan 24, 1735, obtained from HISTORY OF THE VAN KORTRYKS OR
COURTRIGHTS BY DUDLEY VATTIER COURTRIGHT, COLUMBUS, OH: 1924. This book
has so much data obtained from letters and archives, but they do not state
the source of this marriage date, but they would have had to obtain it from
somewhere when they give the day and month!!!!
Any and all leads and suggestions will be followed to the best of my ability.
I eagerly look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely Carolyn Leverich Atkinson
