The problem is Larry is using a non-internet-friendly mail client that
doesn't show you all the internet mail headers.
If you are using an internet service provider (ISP) you may want to
ask them how to use a better mail client. If you are using a
corporate mail system, you may want to suggest to your systems people
that it is time to upgrade to a better mail system.
Eudora, Pegasus, Netscape Mail, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc will
let you see all the mail headers and properly display who the message
is from.
For example, Larry's mail has these headers (there are actually more).
Notice that you can see that you can clearly see message is from
"WOODARD, LARRY" <lwoodard@cas-inc.com>, sent to
GEN-NYS-L@rootsweb.com and resent from GEN-NYS-L@rootsweb.com (the
mailing list)

This underscores the reason why it is important to have a "signature"
file that includes at least your name and email address. Not all mail
systems are fully featured.
