To everyone who has submitted INDEX lookups:

I appreciate your thoughtfullness in limiting your requests - I know these
books are have very valuable information on EARLY PA.

What I have is the INDEX - most of you will be receiving a list of names I
have found with the volume and page number for Series 3. KEEP THIS INFO!!!
I will let you know when I check-out other volumes in this series and I
won't have the Index!

Right now, I only have the EARLY Tax Lists for Lancaster, Cumberland and
York Co's (I thought I picked up the Berks Co one, also, sorry for my error
- but I will get it soon!)

Most of the info in the books are LISTS with no other info (now with
property owners, they may have horses & cattle). Also, I do not understand
the "Tax" - how they list the amount owed. I'm copying things as they are
listed, so if there are misspellings, they probably will be from the books.

BTW - the military records in this series are know to be incomplete, so if
I don't find your names in vol. 23, don't be too concerned at this point!
Eventually, I will be getting other series which have more complete
listings.

Also, the FHCs do have the published PA Archives on microfilm or -fiche.
You may need to order them, esp. if you're not in PA, but they are a GREAT
reference tool for locating where your people were!!!

Good searching!!!
