Hello again,

Thanks to some great people on this newsgroup, I have in my possesion a obit
and information as to where my G/G/G Grandfather is buried. Now, another
question has come up, that is driving me up a wall...In my GGG Grandfather's
obit, it mentioned that he fought in the revolutionary war(I already knew
that) but then
it mentioned also quote, that he was one of the little band who were with
the brave Montgomery at the attack on Quebec.

Ok, several questions have come up..1. what battle are they talking about?
2. I have Montgomery's in my line also, so wonder who this Montgomery is who
they are talking about.
3. The obit also mentions that he was buried with military honors by the
"Utica Citizens' Corps." What group is this? Would anyone in the great
State of New York like to guide me to sources relating to these questions?

Oh the obit was in the "UTICA OBSERVER" dated 16 February 1841.

Personal thanks will be going out to these wonderful people who took the time
to find me the information I have sought for a long time. This is a great
newsgroup...

Regards,

Esther
