I have had experience with Mr. Kelly's books - there is a large
collection of them in the Pittsfield, MA's Berkshire Athenaeum's Local
History Room and I use them regularly. There are some minor - to me, at
least - problems with them, but in general I find them to be excellent
resources.

One question - if your family is from Schoharie, why the Dutchess County
books?
