Mike, I can't help with your question but maybe you can help me. My wife's
father's middle name was Burnett. I assume that came from a surname of one of
his ancestors. His father was Wallace Carlyle Hickok married to Maude Brink.
Wallace and Maude lived in the Hornell/Elmira/Ithaca area of NY state at one
time. He was in the physical education field and later worked at Syracuse U
for a number of years. My wife's father was Myron Burnett Hickok. He also
worked at Syracuse U. up to the time of his death. Wallace was the son of
Myron Nye Hickok and Martha Carlyle and as best I can determine he was born
in the Ogdensburg, NY area. Maude's father was Jay or J. Brink. They lived on
the south side of Syracuse in the early to mid 1900's. Do you have any
