I am new to this list & we have several NY families but I will start
with just one.
I would like to make contact with decendants or interested parties in
the following Peck and related spouse lines:
Eliphalet PECK, b 1758 Danbury, Conn d 1842 Alexander, Genesse Co, NY
married to Abigail HAWLEY, B 1760 Danbury, d 1844 Alexander.
Eliphalet was the son of Jesse Peck and Ruth Hoyt of Conn. Her parents
are unknown to me at this time. Eliphalet relocated to NY after the War
of 1812 where he, a brother and his father had been prisoners after the
fall of Fort Washington in Manhattan. His father and brother,
Nathaniel, died from the effects of smallpox contracted while prisoners.
Eliphalet and Abigail had the following children:
Nathaniel (b 1782 married Abigail Starr, lived Brownville, NY)
Samuel (b 1784 married Altana Plumb, lived in Brownville)
Eliphalet (b 1786 - wife ? - lived in Alexander)
Abigail (b 1786 married Jacob Conklin - lived in NY State)
Benjaming (b 1791 - died in Orangeville, NY - wife ?)
Eli (b 1793 married Nancy Smith - no other info)
Asa (b 1795 never married)
Rebecca (b 1798 married Clark Tabor or Taylor - no other data)
Sally (b 1801 never married)
Ruth (b 1805 married a Wickwise & Vande Bogart)
John (no info)
Samuel and Altana were my 3x great grandparents - I have no info on the
Plumb family. I have lots of Peck data, some not related to my family,
that I am willing to share. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Please
e mail direct - Faye in California.
