I'm sorry to post to the whole list, but I think Mr. Wagner who was looking
for Union County may be looking for the Town of Union in Broome County.
Broome County is the county immediately east of Tioga County. It was part
of Tioga till 1806. The Town of Union borders on Tioga County. The county
seat of Tioga is Owego (very close in spelling to Oswego). There is no
Union County in New York.

I didn't notice the original post, so my information may not be relevant,
but I'd rather tell Mr. Wagner something he didn't need to know than have
him hunting for a non-existant county. That would be a frustrating waste
of good research time!
