I tried this search engine. It is *very* fast. Unfortunately, the people
who run it have taken it upon themselves to disallow any searches
containing words or phrases they think are sexual in nature. Therefore,
my innocent search on Essex Co, Vermont resulted in a note explaining that
they do not allow searches for sexual information in order to make the
searches faster.
Astounded, I left a sharp note describing the practice as stupid. Then I
conducted a couple of tests - Searches on Dick Nixon went ok, I was a
little surprised. A search on penis resulted in the little form letter,
not surprisingly, although there is nothing particularily wrong with the
word. I then tried 'tit' - which resulted in one or two links to birding
sites and a truly awesome listing of XXX rated sites.
So, in my opion, not only is the practice stupid and not a little
arrogant, but they aren't even very good at it.
