I am new to this list and was hoping someone might beable to help me.
I am trying to verify a line in my family. I have verified up to this
couple:
Rowena Johnson m. Feb 28, 1815 (Butler, NY) Benjamin Grandy

I need to verify her parents, My list say it's
Elijah Johnson m.1781 Unity Estey/Esty

But someone told be they had a list of their children and Rowena was
not listed.

I have Rowena marrying in Butler, Wayne County, NY. In 1815. Did they
keep Marriage Records then? If so, would they list her parents?

Is there any other way to find her parents name?
I have Her husbands War of 1812 Pension Records. It lists her, but
not her parents.

Is there a Wayne County Historical Society?
