I am looking for connections to James Atherton CHAMBERLAIN b. 1813 Sussex
co, NJ. M. 15 Sept 1839 to Elcy Ann WILLIAMS(descendant of Roger and Mary
Barnard
WILLIAMS). I have a 1860 and 1880 census of Rock co, WI township of Emerald
Grove, that states all of their children were b. in Steuben Co, NY.(town
not known at this time).
(There may have actually been more children)The known children were:
Frances F, b 1840 d. 1900
John W. b. 20 Oct 1842
George S. 2 June 1843
James Henry(my gg and went by Henry) 10 April 1845 d. 11 Sept 1929
Frank b. 1865
Elsie b. 1871
Maggie Jane(or possibly Mary) b. 1876.
There is a 20 year gap between James Henry and Frank so I think their may
have been more children. Elcy and James A went on to have children into her
50's it appears to me. they are all listed as son's and daughter's in the
census.
!870 census in WI was totally burned in a fire or is not available.
Do any of you NY researcher's know anything about my ggg grandparent's?
I would love to know if James Atherton had brother's and sister's and who
his parent's were.
