I got her maiden name from the Civil War records of her son John O Smith,
who moved from Ontario Canada to Michigan c1840s, her 1st name is listed as
MILLIE.
Her grandaughters name was AMELIA, but, she was always referred to as
Millie so I am assuming that she was named after her grandmother.
Several queries to various Western NY Historical/Genealogical Societies have
brought little information, other than the heads of household named Sherwood
for early 1800s, so anything I can get concerning her parents, siblings, etc
would be greatfully received.:-) I am willing to share what I have of her
Smith descendants with anyone who is interested. TIA! Jay Smith
