AOL losing DIGEST Messages

Sorry to send this to the entire list, but since GEN-NYS-L-DIGEST V96 #96
contained more complaints about messages chopped off from this list, and
several of us seem to have the identical problem at the same time, I think we
need to get together to clear it up. Is there anyone other than AOL
subscribers who have this problem? I think it must definitely be an AOL
problem.
I'm willing to be a "clearing house" for any others, since I've been
receiving incomplete Digests since I joined the list in late August and
complaining to AOL for months.

GEN-NYS-L owner Marc Nozell gave me the specific info about the list to send
AOL, which I did. I've written again and again to AOL with no success.
Sometimes the Digest comes thru complete, and at times (like V96 #95) I
receive only the list of topics.

I finally got a letter from AOL Dec 7 that said something specific (but I
left for LA Dec 10 and returned to SeaTac Dec 26, and what a tale that is!
Took 13 hours to get home from LA - not the flight- and then the electricity
died. But I was and am luckier than most). But because of trying to recover
from the trip, etc. I've just been catching up on the Digests, and have not
yet written back to AOL.

Whaddya say we all dump on them at once?? This was their admission
(finally!):

<snip>,,,one suggestion I can make is that you send your email directly to
postmaster@aol.com, as this does seem to be an email system error. Recently
[this was 12-07, remember] we have had mail system problems which may explain
the situation with it having cleared up then returned. But either way more
detailed information is needed to troubleshoot if the problem hasn't since
cleared up. <end snip>

I *had* sent them specifics, but the recipients kept changing! So those who
are having problems, let's inundate them with the specific examples and get
them to clear up the problem. I am heartily sick of it!
