City Directories/Bronx

Sorry I missed your 2nd question. Bronx should be in the New York City
Directories 1872-1895 for that part WEST of the Bronx River and 1895-1898
for the entire area. The old City of New York ceased to exist on
12-31-1897 and was replaced on 1-1-1898 by the present 5 boroughs and
Greater New York. From 1898 on, Bronx probably should have its own
directories, but since the Borough was a part of New York County until
1914, these directories MIGHT be part of the New York County directories.
