Re: FLEMING daughters marry men from NY, later 1800's

First I'd write to the City of Buffalo Marriage Records Division of Vital
Records Office - I'm sure someone on the Net will come up with correct
address. Send them $11.00 in USA money for a copy of the marriage record
which should be there, as records were mandated in 1880, but often not found
until a few years later, worth a try.(Unless someone out there in cyberland
knows they started later than 1885 in Buffalo!)

Then I'd check the Soundex index for the USA federal census in 1880 where
they might be listed if they had any children 10 or under. Any that you
find, then try the New York State census for those locations in 1875 and
1892.

Another possibility is to get a researcher in Albany to check the vital
records indexes in the NYS Archives for any Flemings or the married names
you have - starting with the few in 1880 or 1881 and continue on year by
year.

Hope this helps.
