I'll add another plug for verifying *ANY* published information you
find. As good as this source is, errors do creep in to all published
materials. I had traced my ancestors back to Switzerland long before
the GERMANS TO AMERICA set came out and had actually visited the town
and searched in the parish registers. I later found them in the GERMANS
TO AMERICA set but the code for place of origin had been done wrong.
I double checked the original passenger lists, which were correct.
Just a simple "data entry" error that could have caused a lot of
unnecessary work.
Always check the original documents if possible!
