NATIONAL ARCHIVES PHOTOGRAPHIC SERVICES

the National Archives maintains most Official Navy Photography taken from
about 1920 to January 1,1958, including pictorial coverage of World War II
and the Korean Conflict. It also holds older photographic files of the
Army, Marine Corps, and many Civilian Goverment Agencies.

The National Archives can provide LIMITED RESEARCH in response to telephone
inquiries. Such requests should be as specific as possible concerning
names, dates, places, and other aspects of the picture wanted.

If extensive research is required, it is advisable to conduct it in person.
The National Archives' research facilities are open to the public on

Seventh St., NW in Washington, D.C. - APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED.

HOW TO ORDER NATIONAL ARCHIVES PHOTOGRAPHS:

Reproductions of most photographs in the National Archives collections can
be purchased. ORDERS MUST SPECIFY the quanity, size, and finished format
of the reproduction desired, and MUST BE PREPAID by check or money order
payable to
NATSF "(NNSP)".

Other sizes and types of black and white reproductions may also be
available for some items.

COLOR PRODUCTIONS are also available for photographs that are SPECIALLY
INDENTIFIED AS BEING IN COLOR. FOR INFORMATION on availability, quality and
cost of such reproductions, contact the Still Picture Branch, National
Archives, PRIOR TO PLACING ORDER. Prices given include all handling and
postage charges for orders originating in the U.S.A.

NORMAL PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTION PROCESSING IS EIGHT TO TEN WEEKS
