The 0-99 is between 5th & 6th Ave, etc, and the 400 West number should be
on the corner of 9th Ave & West 52nd Street. Sorry I don't have any NY
maps handy, but from
memory that area had tenements and brownstones with lots of emmigrant
people living there, (race & nationality varied depending upon the date).
Today it's probably a parking garage or I seem to remember railroad yard
tracks. Its on the outer fringe of the theater district.
