Hi Folks,
Well, it looks like another of my queries has started a tirade here. Im
very sorry for the inconvenience that may have been imposed on other people
not interested in the topic.

So, I very deeply apologize and should point out that I made a mistake in
not asking people to reply privately to such a "weird" topic.

Please understand that my purpose in asking this/these questions lies in
grabbing at straws. I cant help but assume that I am not the only person
in this predicament. I was hoping that my query might turn up an avenue
of research whereby I might find some record of where my GGrandfather
Charles FM Greene is interred, since the cemetery where he is supposed to
be (according to his death cert) has no record of him.

I did find it interesting to read the unusual stories!! Also, I feel that
these stories shared by the kind people on our list do reflect on
"Americana", ie, how our ancestors used to live. Such things, even the
bizarre, add flesh to the bones of our ancestors.

Also, I feel it necessary to keep an open mind about our ancestors and in
methods used to "find" them. Seems that they turn up in often unusual
ways! I have considered several times now that it would be interesting to
hire a "psychic" to tell me where GGrandfather is buried, and then see if
he/she is correct! The only thing stopping me is the $$ involved to do
such a "search." If it ever turns out that I do this, I will let the group
know the results.

So again, many apologies, and will in the future ask people to reply
privately. Thank you one and all for your help with my many questions. As
a novice amatuer genealogist, I could not have gotten as far as I am with
out you, and am a better person today than I was yesterday because of my
involvement with such kind people.

Sincerely,
Sue Pawley (nee Greene)
