Hi Folks,
Im posting this query to help someone who does not have net access ( I
would also like to know as it is interesting and involves the same area Im
researching in)

The question: Is there any way to determine the exact location of a
person's residence when the only info one has is that which is contained on
a census? Also, town directories are not known to exsist, or cant be
found.

For example, column 1 of the 1870 is "Dwelling-houses numbered in the order
of visitation"
A family on this census is given as dwelling number 253, and the family
itself is given as number 317.
