>Other family members have Book of Psalms with inscription to "Sister"
Isabella Moore from William Moore. Could be John's brother or possible his
father. We cannot find parents or siblings of John. Don't know place of
birth in SC. Would solve many long years of work if some Moore knows of us.
Also cannot find John Alexander's first wife, Matilda. She has become an
important part of the puzzle to us, also. Our grandfather was first of now
four James Brock Moore's. We began genealogy work in search of source of
name Brock - thought it would be easy - probably a maiden name somewhere,
but after 20 years, we still have not located Brock. Maybe James B
Arrington, who married Nancy Agnes Moore is our Brock, but we have not been
able to prove.
