A little while ago, Brian Leverich asked if I would be interested in writing a little GEDCOM to HTML converter for rootsweb.com.
I've put a demo together and am soliciting comments on the format, style, missing features, etc. I'm wide open for comments, suggestions, flames, etc.
I'd be interested to know how the GIF images look on various web browers on various platforms with various monitors. Images too large? Text unreadable? Would you like to see more than three generations?
For an individual's page, do you prefer a "family group sheet" format or the current format?
A LifeLines script generated all the HTML files. A perl script generated all the pedigree GIF images using Thomas Boutell's gd GIF drawing library and Lincoln Stein's GD.pm perl extension module.
Send mail to me, email@example.com for details.
