Here's the interesting part: In the Deyo Family History, an Ann Deyoe, the
daughter of Daniel & Sarah Deyoe of Pittstown NY (in Rennsalaer County), was
born 1/17/97, according to a Deyo family bible; also, Troy NY (near
Pittstown) was called Filestown in the 1700s (close to "Pilestown"). No
other record exists of her in that book, although her father's will abstract
(Abstracts of Renn. County Wills, by Phillips) dated 3/8/13 identifies 6
other children (all older) and her mother, but not her. (She would have
still been a minor, unlike the other children, so she would still been under
her mother's care.) I have written the Historical Society in New Paltz, and
they don't know of any Deyo researcher or someone who might be doing
research on the family, or someone who might have that family bible. Could
anyone help?
