I'm the GEDCOM-L mailing list owner and have recently received
notification that you have subscribed to the GEDCOM-L mailing list.  

It has been my experience that since you are subscribing from AOL.COM
that you may not realize just what you have joined and may want to
UNSUBSCRIBE yourself from the list.

The GEDCOM-L mailing list is primarily for software programmers
discussing how to implement genealogy data transfer using GEDCOM and
for those people interested in improving the standard.

This is not a general purpose genealogy mailing list.  There are a
number of mailing lists on the internet and a fair number of them are
genealogy related.

The two best places to find other genealogy related lists is Vicki
