My Moore family history starts (according to family lore) with Deacon John
Moore who landed at Plymouth and crossed the CT River with first immigrants
settling Windsor CT. I have looked at Mayflower passengers lists, but found
no one with that name. However on the Planter (1635) passenger list there is
a John Moore. How would I find further information on this to see if its my
Moore? From there we have Joseph, son of John who had 6 brothers, but we
know nothing else about. Joseph, son of Joseph-(1716-1790) married Elizabeth
Allen (1716-1790). Elizabeth was the daughter of Capt Jedediah Allen of
Windsor CT. They had a son named (what else?) Joseph (d.1777) who married
Margaret Kellogg of Hartford CT. They had three children (Margaret, Asa, and
Joseph). Asa Moore b. 20 Jun 1762 m.in 1790 to Huldah King (1767-1840). He
was a Private in the 5th CT regiment serving under Capt Prior from
7/1/1780-12/16/1780. My last Moore link is my ggg grandmother Ann (or Anna)
Moore who was Asa's daughter and married Delpha Harris in 1831.
Does this link to anyone else out there? I have lots more names of siblings,
etc., but am short on dates. Thanks
