RIGHTS RIVER, Antigonish County

A river which flows east into Antigonish Harbour.

Formerly Wright's River after John Wright who purchased a lot from
John Brierly in 1797 and who traded with the Indians.  One of the twin
boys of Mr. and Mrs. Wright fell into the river and was drowned and the
other fretted so much that the family moved.
