DeBAIE, David Arthur - 71, DeBaies Cove, Halifax Co., died July 31, 1995, in the Halifax Infirmary. Born at Bass River, he was the eldest son of the late John and Bessie (McLaughlan) DeBaie. He worked all of his life as a fisherman and carpenter until his illness. Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth Turner; brothers, Arnold, Derel, Norman, Peter, DeBaies Cove; Herbert, Dartmouth; Ronald, Pondville, Cape Breton; sisters, Frances (Mrs. Philip Melanson), Beulah (Mrs. Donald Damore), Windsor, Ont.; Carol (Mrs. Avery Young), Musquodoboit Harbour; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Helen, Leta, Patricia, Olive; two brothers in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Rowlings Funeral Home, Musquodoboit Harbour. Funeral 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Philip of Neri Catholic Church, Rev. Selaney officiating. Burial to follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, DeBaies Cove. Family flowers only. Donations to Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital, Musquodoboit Harbour.
