| KEATING, Bruce Norbert - 46, Lakelands, Mount Uniacke, died peacefully December 26, 1996, at his sister's home in Mount Uniacke after a brief illness. Born at Little Harbour, Halifax Co., he was a son of George and Nanette (DeBaie) Keating, Mount Uniacke. He was a self-employed fisherman for many years and later worked as a stevedore and in carpentry. Besides his parents, he is survived by son, Andrew, Mahone Bay; stepsons, Ryan, Philip, Gregory; brothers, Gary, Musquodoboit Harbour; Dennis, Ship Harbour; Clark, Cole Harbour; sisters, Lorraine Kardash, Calgary, Alta.; Jocelyn Palmer, Vancouver, B.C.; Rachel Tokic, Mount Uniacke. He was a well-liked and respected member of the community. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dartmouth Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, December 30, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Mount Uniacke, Rev. Charles Burk officiating. Burial in St. Anne Cemetery, Debaies Cove, Halifax Co. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Anne Cemetery fund or the Canadian Cancer Society. | |
